21-Day Detox Period
After a Reiki attunement, there is a detox period, or cleansing process, that may affect the physical, emotional and spiritual body. Toxins that may have been stored in the body may be released along with feelings and thought patterns that are no longer useful. You may experience flu-like symptoms, such as a headache, stomach ache, and purging (if it lasts more than 24-hours, please consult your MD).
These are all signs that healing is taking place and the purging of old energies is occuring as new frequencies recalibrate. It does not happen to everyone, but if/when it does it’s important to understand what’s happening so you can support its completion. Meaning you may need more rest, more water, or time alone in nature contemplating life and the changes you might need to make to support a healthier lifestyle for the mind and body.
Over the 21-day detox period, there is a purification of all the chakras. Approximately each chakra purifies every 24 hours and this happens 3 times. Your entire system will be readjusted and rebalanced in order to prep you for deeper healing over time. Allow yourself to release yourself from old habits and mindsets that are not of your highest good, let it happen easily and naturally. Reiki is like a rebirth, you can cleanse and start again in the areas of your life you need.
Because the practitioner is just the channel, it’s much easier for the ego to stay out of the way to allow the loving presence of consciousness to clear and heal .
This is deep healing, so take this time to go be with yourself, look within and see what you find. You may find these hidden versions of you you didn't know existed. Years and often lifetime's worth of built up density starts to gently purify the more you do Reiki. If done often enough, Reiki will eventually reduce the extreme highs and lows of life, gradually leading to a new balanced existence. Let the joy of Reiki envelope you. Celebrate the divine synchronicity that unite you with its infinite love, power and expansion. Celebrate the transformation that you have embarked on.
Recommendations to support this process:
Drink 2-3 L of water per day
Get plenty of rest, sleep, and exercise
Eat good, quality fresh food
Practice self-Reiki daily
Reflect, journal, meditate
Walk, be in nature, take epsom salt baths
Reiki Level One: Self-treatments for 5 minutes to get used to a daily practice to ground, protect and strengthen your energetic field. Practice sessions on family and close friends.
Reiki Level Two: Self-treatments for 3 minutes per hand position and use the three Reiki symbols. Practice sessions on other people and/or offer your services to the public.
